In the very beginning it was all about the bikes. Back in 2002 the Plainfield Irish Parade started in the Eastern Historic District of Plainfield with a bike parade. All the neighborhood kids decorated their bikes and paraded around the block. Now we have really grown! Today our annual parade attracts about 10,000 people.

Please help us celebrate our roots by bringing the kids to Plainfield Central High School and decorating their bikes with the Irish theme. We’ve included some examples and we will have some decorations available for decorating on-site. However, you are always welcome to come decorated with your own elaborate theme! There will be prizes for the most festive.
