Don’t Miss the Family Area Following the Parade

The Village Preservation Association has lined up an extensive array of activities to keep the whole family entertained following the parade. Join the VPA and all your fellow Irish fans at the intersection of Lockport and DesPlaines Street, before and immediately following the parade. The family area will feature FREE face painting and bounce houses for the kids, vendors and more! In addition to the wonderful food options from our downtown restaurants, the family area will also offer options from local food trucks. Special entertainment will be provided by some of the featured bagpipe bands and Irish dance groups from the parade.

The VPA sponsors the family area as an amenity to enhance families’ enjoyment of the parade. Attendees can support the VPA by becoming a “Friend of the Parade”.  Click HERE to become a Friend of the Parade.  Stop by the family area for these great ways to support the VPA’s efforts to host the annual Plainfield Hometown Irish Parade.
