2019 Parade Princess Emilie McGarr
The Village Preservation Association is pleased to announce that Emilie McGarr has been selected as Parade Princess for the 2019 Plainfield Hometown Irish Parade.
Emilie McGarr is honored to be selected for the 2019 Hometown Irish Parade Princess. Her Irish roots come from her mother’s side-Ballyduff,Co.Waterford, Ireland. Home to her great-grandparents Hurley/Kirby respectively.
She enjoys sharing her heritage through Irish dancing and has trained with the Keigher Academy of Irish Dance (Minooka). Emilie looks forward to this time of year. Our family enjoys watching the Plainfield Irish Parade. Ever since she was four years old she wanted to become the Irish Princess. We always encourage her to reach for the stars and believe in yourself.
Emilie is an 8th grade honor roll student at Aux Sable Middle school. She has been dancing since she’s been 2 years old. She loves ballet and Irish dancing. She performed in The Great Russian Nutcracker from The Moscow Ballet for 2 years. She is full of life and always enjoys helping others. She rescued animals and fostered them in our home. Emilie always wants to help others. She currently is helping to sponsor a boy from Uganda.
Emilie thanks the Committee for selecting her to be part of the 2019 Hometown Irish Parade.She wants to thank her family, friends and amazing dance teachers for encouraging her to pursue her goals. She is truly honored to share this special day with everyone.
