Post Parade Pub Crawl

Starts at 3pm.

We will be traveling to Tap House Grill, Front Street Cantina, Bin 48, Moe Joes, Uptown Tap, and Hop Scotch & Vine . Sample all of downtown Plainfield’s fine drinking (and eating) establishment have to offer in our post parade pub crawl. Drink special, food specials, raffles and giveaways. Watch for the schedule!!!

Lots of fun planned with inflatables, balloon artists, face painting, coloring contest, hula hoop contest, bag tournament and more.

All events will begin after the parade has completed.

2013 Kids Bike Rodeo & Decorating Contest

Open to all Lads and Lassies 15 and under. Decorate your bike in festive Irish style for a chance to win prizes. Then show off your work along the parade route. All participants will receive something for sharing in the festivities.

A Bike Rodeo for some fun at the parade staging area starts at 12:00 noon. Look for the bikes at the Northwest Parking Lot of Plainfield Central High School (just north of the track and stadium). Judging of decorated bikes and riders in costume will be at 12:30. Bike riders with a parent or guardian are welcome to ride in the parade.

Riders older than 15 are welcome to ride along, so long as you bring along your decorated bike and Irish wardrobe. Your prizes will be fun and local fame. . .especially if you have a custom bike.

St Baldrick’s Event 2013

The Knights of Columbus, Holy Spirit Council will be organizing and coordinating the St. Baldrick’s event in cooperation with the Plainfield Fire District the day of the parade.

Participants who have gathered donations from friends, family and coworkers will turn out to have their heads shaved in a gesture of solidarity with kids who don’t deserve chemotherapy or any of the other cruelties of cancer. Whether you go under the buzzer or just come out to watch, it’s good fun for a great cause!

Come by and have some good clean shavin’ fun and help out a worthy charity help eliminate children’s cancer. Stop by and put a bid on an auction item, sample traditional Irish Fare and the finest beer available on the south side. Listen to bagpipers, watch dancers, listen to music and watch the “shavin-o-the heads”.

Join our community St. Baldrick’s event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you’ll be a part of the excitement.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Get involved and you’ll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
